D’après les différentes sources, on sait que cette église a été fondée au début du XIVe siècle, sous la protection du premier Marquis de Santillana. Cependant, à la fin du XVe siècle ou au début du XVIe siècle elle a été modifiée. Ainsi, le portique a été déplacé du côté nord au côté sud. Son style architectural n’est pas clairement défini dû au mélange de styles et aux différentes modifications dont il a été objet.
L’église compte avec trois nefs, séparées par des arcs sur des colonnes construites en pierre. La nef centrale, dont le style est roman, se trouve dans le presbyterium, qui a une forme pentagonale. La sacristie, construite postérieurement, est couverte d’une croisée d’ogives. Le chœur ainsi que le retable ont disparu et les colonnes du chœur se trouvent dans le jardin de l’église, avec plusieurs stèles funéraires visigotiques du XIIe siècle, séparés entre eux par des impostes. Les travaux de réforme ont été menés au debout du XVIe siècle.
En ce qui concerne le portique, qui se trouve au sud du bâtiment, il a été construit au milieu du XVe siècle, dont le style appartient à la Renaissance. Il compte avec huit arcs en anse de panier et un arc en plein cintre.

Locuri de interes – Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de las nieves
Din cauza informațiilor existente, se pare că a fost fondată la începutul secolului al XVl lea, sub protecția primului marchiz de Santillana. Cu toate acestea , la sfârșitul secolului al XV- lea sau la începutul secolului al XVl lea, a fost reconstruit , modificând pentru transferul din partea de nord spre partea de sud. Stilul său arhitectural nu este definit prin modificări care au constituit obiectul , amestecul bisericii are trei nave separate de arce pe coloane de piatră. Nava romanică este condusă de presbiteria pentagonală. Sacristia , a construcției de postere , este acoperită cu o cruce gotică . Atât corul , cât și altarul au dispărut, coloanele acestei sunt in grădina biserici, împreună cu stelajele funerare din secolul al Xll – lea , de stil vizigotic . Turnul este format din tre corpuri, separate unul de altul prin imposturi. În ceea ce privește porticul, situat la sud de clădire este o construcție din mijlocul secolului al XVll – lea și stilul său este renascentist format din opt arcuri.
IGLESIA DE NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LAS NIEVES
Por la información existente, parece que fue fundada a principios del siglo XIV, bajo la protección del primer Marqués de Santillana. Sin embargo, a fines del siglo XV o principios del siglo XVI, fue reedificada, modificando el pórtico, trasladándolo del lado norte al lado sur. Su estilo arquitectónico no es definido, por las diversas modificaciones de que ha sido objeto, mezcla de varios estilos.
La iglesia posee tres naves, separadas por arcos sobre columnas de piedra. La nave central, de estilo románico, está encabezada por el presbiterio, de forma pentagonal. La sacristía, de construcción posterior, está cubierta con crucería gótica. Tanto el coro como el retablo han desaparecido; las columnas de aquél se encuentran en el jardín de la iglesia, junto con unas estelas mortuorias del siglo XII, de estilo visigótico. La torre es de tres cuerpos, separados entre sí por medio de impostas. Su reforma se llevó a cabo a principios del siglo XVI.
En cuanto al pórtico, situado al sur del edificio, es construcción de mediados del siglo XVI y su estilo es renacentista, constando de ocho arcos carpaneles y uno de medio punto.
